You ever have one of those days where you’ve reached breaking point and all you want to do is break whatever is in your hand and then disappear? Well these photos were taken on one of those days. Luckily I didn’t break my D60. I had a final project due and nothing went as planned. This is the outcome. The day went from utter frustration to a study on texture. And the walk through Piedmont was therapeutic… Except for the random people asking why I was getting so close to things to take photos… And the random groundskeepers following me around in golf carts whistling… Anyway, enjoy.

Friday, October 15th, 2010portraits of a hoarder
Sunday, October 10th, 2010There’s this weird phenomenon when people hoard things. Its strange how you can learn little nuances about people and their personalities by observing what they keep, where they keep it, and how much of it they keep.
These photos were taken at a family member’s house that I am assisting my mother in cleaning right now. The angles and levels are a bit bizarre, but so is the subject. This is how I viewed the house my first time through. Bits and pieces. You want to make sense of all of it, but you can’t. All you end up with is even smaller bits and pieces. Making sense of it would be impossible. But these images are me trying to break it down small enough to figure it out. I’ll let you know how it goes…
